Cuba holds anti-homophobia event

The communist government in Havana backs a campaign for gay equality despite the lingering influences from Catholicism. In Singapore however, a Catholic forum saw a rather frenzied attempt to prove homosexuality an illness. Full essay.

It smacks of malpractice for a psychologist to allow his personnel religious beliefs to influence his treatment of patients. Perhaps someone should actually try a malpractice suit!

Steven Weinberg (who was quoted by Richard Dawkins in his book "The God Delusion") said "Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, it takes religion." How apt!
