Teacher's termination still unaccounted for

Both Mr Lui and Mr Ho are of the same "faith" - that breeds paranoia.

Sometimes, you want to laugh at them after hearing what they said. And they are paid million dollars salaries.

Like they said, "say like no say".

Kudos the journalist Jeremy Au Yong for following this up. 100 people rejected a year! Were they trying to trivialise the individual case, or to confess to the ongoing conspiracy? :)

maybe that's the reason for the high salary: you have to do such things to be part of the team and carry out orders

MP Lui Tuck Yew said: "Teachers... have great influence over the children they teach... teachers are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which befits this role...

... teachers... are important role models for our children."

If that is the case, a good majority of teachers in Singapore do not, and cannot speak good, proper English. That explains why today's young children speak sub-standard English. So what criteria goes into selecting these 'role models' for our children then?

And to comment that the most appropriate thing for Mr Alfian Sa'at to do is to take issue with MOE directly is to circumvent the issue. We have read MOE's reply from Mr Alfian Sa'at, and MOE did not directly give an answer to Mr Alfian Sa'at's question either.

If that is the direction parliamentary proceedings are going, we may as well not have them, because we can do without these 'Ms Universe' answers.

The irony of the WP cycling thing is this:

In the GE last year, they were pushed to hold a major rally EXACTLY THERE AT EAST COAST PARK! There were question about the site being to small, crowding, security, remember? The ruling party had comfortable stadions I think...

So now the WP folks cant cycle there? I hope they do and ignore this childish mummying. I would join them. Singapore grow up!

It does't take a genius to conclude that the intellectual mentality of both ministers is suspect. From both the responses furnished by them to the raised questions at Parliament, one can only imply that both of them is either a wily fox or a stupid moron.

Well as the saying goes, u get monkeys when u pay peanuts, except that we are paying very expensive peanuts for such talents!!!

Such is PAP legacy !!! Very sad and disappointing indeed, not to say hypocritical at the very least.

I seems to be a very uniquely singaporean malaise
